Individual acupuncture sessions are $85 per session. Each session includes a possible combination of at least two of the following: cupping/Gua Sha, scalp, auricular acupuncture, traditional meridian acupuncture, and other treatments. Treatments last about 45 minutes.
We will continue to offer a package of 4 sessions for $300 (a $40 savings!). Package expires one year from purchase. There is no refund for unused sessions.
Single treatment sessions can be purchased for $50. These include any single set of body needles (with or without limited cupping) or the Rapid Destress Protocol. Single treatments last 15-20 minutes.
If cupping is not covered by insurance, it can still be added to a session for $25. Please be aware that Medicare does NOT cover cupping or Gua Sha but these treatments can be added to your session for $25.
Acupuncture does not require a referral unless you are using VA Benefits.
We proudly use Po Sum ointment and medicated oil as part of acupuncture. Please speak to front desk staff if you are interested in purchasing these items.

What is StemWave?
Without getting too technical, StemWave is an FDA listed medical device that utilizes harmless, yet powerful acoustic waves to activate the body’s natural healing mechanisms. This non-invasive treatment option was designed to help patients dealing with musculoskeletal conditions related to pain and inflammation.
How Does StemWave Work?
When these waves penetrate damaged tissue or areas of inflammation, it activates a natural response within the body as if a new injury has occurred. This immediately kickstarts the biological healing process by sending healing agents to help reduce inflammation and repair damaged tissue in the injured area. Ultimately, the goal of this treatment is to “awaken” dormant cells that are critical for healing – without the need for invasive procedures or medication.
Treatment Benefits
Non-invasive & drug-free
Promotes natural healing
Decreases inflammation
Increases circulation
Alleviates/relieves aches and pain
5-10 minute treatments
No recovery time
No negative side effects
Common Treatment Areas
Neck & Back
Upper Extremities (Shoulder, Elbow, Wrist)
Lower Extremities (Hip, Knee, Ankle, Foot)
Soft Tissue Injuries (Muscles, Tendons, etc.)
Does Treatment Hurt?
When we are trying to identify damaged tissue or inflammation, we will move the treatment source around the injured area. When the waves from the treatment source penetrate healthy tissue, you won’t feel much of anything. However, when the waves hit damaged tissue, you will experience manageable pain or discomfort – but not of intensity that requires numbing cream or anesthetic.
How Long Does Treatment Take?
Most treatment programs consist of 8-12 visits. Additional visits may be required to maintain results in chronic or ongoing problems.
Is StemWave Covered By Insurance?
No, but you may be able to use FSA or HSA benefits.
Why Have You Decided to Offer This Treatment?
At LCP&P we are dedicated to offering innovative treatments to address all types of pain. More specifically, we are always looking for treatments that help the body heal or improve using its own mechanisms rather than more aggressive options.
Are There Any Contraindications?
Yes. Patients with active cancer are not recommended to have StemWave treatments. We also do not treat over implanted devices such as pacemakers or spinal cord stimulators.

Patient Testimonials
"I have been in pain management for 10 years. I have seen several pain doctors and several back doctors. I have also had several injections in my back. A few months ago I started seeing Dr. Richardson. I could tell by the way she listened to me that she was determined to find a way to treat me. Within the last 4 months, my pain levels that were previously 9/10 have decreased to 2-3/10. This has significantly changed my quality of life for the better. I am truly thankful to Dr. Richardson and her staff and would recommend her to anyone looking for relief" - G.D.
"I appreciate you all and the wonderful compassionate care I've received so much! Can't find a more amazing doctor and staff! -N. W.
"The treatment Dr. Richardson has done for me has been great. She will not give up until she diagnoses the problem." - D.M.
"My initial session was a complete success! I felt very fluid and much less tense than I have felt in quite some time. I was shocked the doctor immediately located the pain and how it was eliminated. I'm glad to be under the care of LCP&P. I'm looking forward to continuing my acupuncture treatment! - J.G.
